1847, 10¢ black, straight line "(Pa)id" cancel, huge well balanced margins, beautiful sharp impression on bright paper, Superb, a truly wonderful gem, one of eleven used examples to receive this grade with only five examples higher (all 98J); with 2015 P.S.E. and 2017 P.S.A.G. certificates, both Graded (Superb 98, SMQ $6,250).

1847, 10¢ black, attractive red orange grid cancel, large to huge margins, rich color enhancing a sharp detailed impression, Extremely Fine to Superb, a wonderful gem, with P.S.E. certificate stating the cancellation color is orange (red orange on P.F.); with 2010 P.F. and 2017 P.S.E. certificates, the latter Graded (XF-Sup 95, SMQ $3,750).
