United States Color and Paper Reference Balance, 1874-1929, of 8 stamps; includes 1847 5¢ in the blackish brown shade (1a, crease), #10 with intense color (graded 80), 3¢ & 15¢ Banknote double paper (15¢ missing bottom paper), #634b n.h. with intense carmine lake color, other choice lake color shades of #657a n.h. and #681a n.h. (small tear), also a special printing #PR37 for paper comparison, accompanied by a nice stampless Chicago "10" in cogwheel usage; Scott cat $5,355+.
