Liechtenstein, Collection, 1912-2016, comprehensive mint collection, virtually complete in the better early issue with the occasional additional mint or used, housed in two hingeless albums; starting with the 1912 & 1915 Johann II sets in duplication, 1921 Views set, the better 1920-30's sets present, 1934 Vaduz souvenir sheet n.h., 1934-35 Views complete including better 5fr high value, later completion as well, airmails and other back-of-the-book appear to be present; hinged mostly in early material with the occasional n.h.

Lithuania, Collection, 1918-40, well formed collection on Scott album pages; mostly mint with occasional parallel */o at times, completion in Vilnius & Kaunas issues with types noted in Vilinius issues including a rare 40sk type III, parallel */o and scarce border varieties, etc., completion in later issues including additional scarce to rare varieties, highlight including vertical network watermark on 1919 Knight issues, 1920 high value trial printing issues, the scarce 1922 3¢ surcharges (all signed Friedl), following 30¢ on 8auk imperf between unlisted variety, later perf & imperf sets, etc., complete semi-postals with rare 1926 issue (only 100 printed, signed), airmails lacking one lesser stamp for completion with many perf & imperf sets, including the scarce 1936 40¢ "F. Vaitkus" overprint issue tied to piece, occupationals including German and displaced person camp issues; rarely seen collection in such completion, with condition above the norm throughout, a must see to appreciate.

Luxembourg, Collection, 1852-1949, well formed collection on Scott album pages; regular issues appear to be complete lacking only the 1923 10fr View sheet or single, mostly used 19th century with additional including 1879 1fr on 37½¢ missing surcharge (Scott 39b) and the 1891 20¢ brown "unissued" (Scott 62b), 10¢ Duke William and following 15¢ Duchess sheets along with the three Duchess emergency sheets, Semi-Postals complete including Professionals set, better Officials starting with 1875-76 Frankfurt & Luxembourg Print sets complete, few good 1878 issues and 1878-80 issues complete, good 1881 S.P. overprints, etc., dues & occupationals complete; with condition above the norm throughout, a must see to appreciate.

Macao, Better Item Group, very nice assortment of Macao singles, sets and blocks including a few early bisect on piece, Scott #146a block of four with/inverted overprint, 168 block of four n.h., 337 block of four and pair n.h., C7-15 (two sets, one signed), J1-11, J23-32 and more, nice lot, review recommended, fine to very fine.

Monaco, Collection, 1885-1982, nicely assembled mint and used mounted in Scott Specialty album; includes Scott 1-8 (4,6,8 used), 11//29, includes 20 o.g. h.r., 30-35, 125-130 used, 145-158 mint, 176 used, nicely filled through 1982 lacking earlier souvenir sheets, back-of-the-book with few semi-postal sets, nice Air sets including C1 used, C21-26, C40 mint, C41-43 used, C53-54 mint, Air semi-postals CB7-10 mint, CB11-14, few pages of dues, owners cat $5,000, please inspect.

Lot 2506    

Mongolia, Mint Collection, 1924-26, mounted on Scott pages beginning with the 1924 First Issue and the 1926 "Postage" overprint series in each of the listed overprint colors of violet, black and red; also includes the exceptionally rare $5 with black overprint (unpriced in Scott), as well as the 50¢ and $1 values with unlisted-in-Scott red overprints, Very Fine throughout.
Estimate    $3,000 - 4,000.

Excellent and interesting provenance, as the lot is accompanied by a handwritten 1936 "Certificat" in French (with typed translation), on the royal letterhead of Prince S. de Mégève, Comte de Capré, stating that he purchased this collection which had won first prize at the 1928 Monte Carlo and 1929 Le Havre Exhibitions and, in his estimation, "is worthy of a place in a museum.".
