Mugarrieta, Consul of Mexico in San Francisco) in San Francisco, Cal., pencil "Val $5.00" notation, reverse with 1891 date stamp and notation indicating contents included a letter from President Diaz; edge wear, Fine.

Mexico, Wells, Fargo & Co., Mazatlan, Mex., Oct., 17, 1883, two strikes of red oval date stamp tying 1883, 6c Numeral, cons 2783 on green Wells, Fargo Y Cia franked paste-up cover to San Francisco, Cal., reverse with via Guaymas routing notation and violet "Paid" in oval handstamp, traveled by ship to Guaymas and then by rail to destination, Very Fine.

Mexico, Wells, Fargo Y Cia Covers, 1883-97, group of 8 used, two mint entires and three fronts; used including 1882, 3c Numeral pair (Hermosillo) tied by red express oval on 1883 cover to Berwick., Pa., 10c to 25c green frank entires with postmarks from La Honda, Tampico, Chihuahua, Guaymas, red Guanajuato with purple Leon receiver on part paste-up, unused with earlier green frank on U.S. 5¢ Garfield entire, also includes two additional legal size 20c Numeral entires (canceled & unaddressed) with franks re-rated 35c and down rated 50c to 40c; condition varies, generally F.-V.F.
