Mexico, 1856, First Issue, Mexico District, select group of 23 stamps and 3 covers; the latter including single frankings ½r & 4r, two medios have the district names with dashes at each end, nice strip of four medios tied to piece, mint include a medio and two 4r (different shades and overprints), a very fine used 8r, several re-entries are present, generally F.-V.F.

Mexico, 1856, First Issue, Morelia District, approximately 95 stamps some of which are on 9 covers, plus three splits tied to piece (Follansbee $1,791), 69 have sub-office cancels (18 different), additionally there is a sello negro Pazcuaro (Schatzkes 962), the 8 r is cut in, others are mostly F.-V.F.

Mexico, 1856, First Issue, Pachuca District, 32 stamps (Follansbee $1,385) of which 23 are from five sub-offices, some VF, 4r and 8r both have red Mineral del Monte cancels but both are cut in and thinned, two VF 1r have red district overprints, mostly Fine.

Mexico, 1856, First Issue, Puebla District, 97 stamps (Follansbee $1,699) plus five covers; 54 stamps bear sub-office cancels (14 different), medio 3-strip and 4-strip are attractive, many of the single stamps are outstanding, most of the six 4r are VF, the 8r is very close to being a four margin stamp, two of the covers (and six stamps) are Acatlan, generally F.-V.F.
