Mexico, 1864-66, Eagle issue, San Luis Potosi, twenty 3rd Period stamps used from nine sub-offices, all bearing sub-numbers, these include 4r 226-1864 sub 2 Catorce and ½r 189-1864 sub 48 Matehuala., all different except two 1r 189-1864 sub 50 are tied to a piece (Catorce - Schatzkes 1472), in addition there is a mint 4r 226-1864 sub 11, a 2r 189-1864 sub 44 with fancy Cedral (Schatzkes 1475) is rare but has rather poor margins, mostly F.-V.F. Follansbee No. 28-29,31-32.

Mexico, 1864-66, Eagle issue, San Luis Potosi, group of 79 stamps (4 unused), 16 covers and a sello negro cover of the period, several have sub-numbers, includes seven 4r and three 8r, an 8r 57-1866 is scarce and nice, mostly F.-V.F. Follansbee No. 18/44 $2,136.

Mexico, 1864-66, Eagle issue, San Luis Potosi, eight 2nd Period stamps used from six sub-offices, six bearing sub-numbers, these include 1r 127-1864 sub 44 Cedral (Schatzkes 1478), 2r 127-1864 without sub-number Venado (Schatzkes 1539), and a rare 4r 170-1864 sub 62 Tula de Tamaulipas (Schatzkes 1538), in addition there is an unused 8r 127-1864 sub 11, no duplication, mostly F.-V.F.

Mexico, 1864-66, Eagle issue, San Luis Potosi, 1r & 2r 1st Period without district name used from sub-offices, four of each value representing Jaral (Schatzkes 1496), Charcas (Schatzkes 1483), Moctezuma (Schatzkes 1514), Rio Verde (Schatzkes 1528), and Venado (Schatzkes 1539), mostly Fine or better, three stamps illustrated in Pietsch and one with M.E.P.S.I. certificate, a rare group.

Mexico, 1864-66, Eagle issue, San Luis Potosi, thirteen 1r & 2r 1st period (with district name) used from nine sub-offices; towns including Catorce, Cedral, Ciudad del Maiz (1r blue cancel, 2r black), Concepcion, Guadalcazar, Jaral (1r pair tied to piece), Matehuala, Pinos, Penon Blanco, mostly F.-V.F., a beautiful and rare group, with four stamps illustrated in Pietsch.

Mexico, 1864-66, Eagle issue, San Luis Potosi, 21 4th Period stamps and a cover, all from Catorce (Schatzkes 1472), all bearing sub-numbers, all different except for 1r 10-1865 sub 13 being a pair and the 2r 208-1865 sub 2 tied to cover duplicates a loose stamp, the 4r 208-1865 sub 21 is a highlight - rare, but has a small surface thin or scuff at upper right, mostly F.-V.F. Follansbee No. 36-38.

Mexico, 1864-66, Eagle issue, San Luis Potosi, 5th Period - 20 stamps bearing sub-numbers, used from 7 different sub-offices, 1r 57-1866 sub 24 Salinas pair and 1r 77-1866 sub 37 Charcas single and pair (tied to piece) are the only instances of duplication, a 2r 46-1866 sub 23 Santa Maria del Rio is particularly nice, mostly F.-V.F. Follansbee No. 43-44.

Mexico, 1864-66, Eagle issue, San Luis Potosi, ten 4th Period stamps used from Salinas del Peñon Blanco (various cancels including manuscript) all bearing sub-numbers, all different except for 1r 208-1865 sub 18 being a pair, several are ex-Pietsch and illustrated in his book, additionally, there is a 2r 208-1865 sub 10 tied to a cover by the large oval (Schatzkes 1534) - quite attractive, generally F.-V.F. Follansbee No. 36-37.
