Mexico, Airmail Cover Group, 1927-83, 60+ covers, mostly commercial usages with a few event items; includes 1930 Scadta first flight, registered, 1929 inaugural flights including pilot signed, 1930's usages to Germany with German flight handstamps, 1930 flight to Honduras, 1934 Macon airship cachet flight cover, etc.

Mexico, 1908 Postage Due Issues on Cover, three covers, one a U.S. 2¢ entire sent from U.S. occupied Veracruz to Mexico City with 10c Due not tied, the others with dues well tied by Cartero handstamps, one having 1c + 5c added to a 2c franked 1912 cover from Veracruz and other with 10c added to 5c cover sent Mexico City to La Cananea, Sonora in 1911 (addressed to the president of the local Madero-Vasquez Gomez political organization), F.-V.F., covers with dues properly used are scarce.

Mexico, 1908, 1c-10c Postage Dues Complete, Suplementario Proofs, matched set of five upper panes of 80, each stamp with rhomboid perf-in as proofs, each multiple is mounted on a large cream card sheet for approval and 2 signatures, each multiple has the plate number "000001" and "010000" with letters A through D (1c, 2c, 4c, 5c & 10c), Very Fine, a unique set, these stamps were issued in 1908 and were used also during the Mexican Revolution.

Lot 1167    

Mexico, 1892, 10c Vermilion, Advertising Sheet and Envelope, entire addressed to Paris, France, canceled by "Veracruz, May 12.93" cds, with French "Ligne B" ship date stamp and Paris transit; couple trivial small tears around indicia window, Very Fine, a very rare foreign destination usage of this entire, accompanied by a pristine unused example. Higgins and Gage No. 38A.
Estimate    $200 - 300.

These were printed as a special order containing a printed flyer with many advertisements and an embossed image of the 10c. The envelope has a cut die cut oval window revealing the indicia. The user would only pay 5c and the remaining 5c would be subsidized by the advertisers.
