Barnard's Express, circular handstamp (BBC-102) on cover addressed to Victoria, V.I. forwarded to New Westminster, faint "Coll." in pencil at upper left and docketed "Rec'd Mar 1867", no indication of government postage paid, Very Fine.

(British Columbia and Victoria Express Company) B.C. V. Express Co., Paid., blue circular handstamp frank (BVC-100) on folded letter sheet to Victoria, with 1860, 2½d pale dull rose, perf 14 uncancelled used to pay local postage; large mended cover tear, Fine, British Columbia & Victoria Express was operated by Frank Barnard in 1862 and usages are rare, similar cover with same addressee and uncanceled stamp in Welburn collection. SG No. 3.

British Columbia Express Co. (Forwarded By), black on red label affixed to cover to "A. Henderson Esq., B.C. Express" in Cache Creek; cover corner nick, edge wear and a bit reduced at left, F.-V.F., a very rare usage of the British Columbia Express Co. label, ex-Welburn.

Antoine Henderson was a stagecoach driver for the British Columbia Express Co.

Dietz & Nelson's British Columbia & Victoria Express, black ribbon frank (DIE-002) on cover to William's Creek, with blue "Post Office, Paid, Victoria, Vancouver Island" oval frank, additionally franked with 1860, 2½d dull rose, horizontal pair tied by blue "Dietz & Nelson's, B.C. & V., Express" circular handstamp, manuscript "Coll 1.00" express fee collected by Barnard's Express who carried the letter from Yale to Williams Creek' cover opening tear at left slightly into Victoria frank, otherwise Very Fine, an attractive combination express usage.
Estimate    $750 - 1,000.

Dietz & Nelson's British Columbia & Victoria Express, black ribbon frank (DIE-002) on U.S. 1861, 3¢ pink rebacked front to San Francisco, Cal. with Wells, Fargo & Co. printed frank at top, uprated with U.S. 1861, 3¢ rose and 1860, 2½d dull rose (2), black on vermilion "Barnard's Cariboo Express. Paid." label affixed at top and all tied by blue "Wells, Fargo & Co., Victoria, Jun 4" oval date stamps, additional small blue oval "W.F. & Co., Jun 9, 1864" date stamp and blue crayon "2" indicate double rate, Fine appearance, a very rare triple express usage.
Estimate    $600 - 800.

Sent by Barnard's Express from the Cariboo Mines to Yale, Dietz & Nelson to Victoria and Wells, Fargo & Co. to San Francisco.
