Gerow & Johnson's British Columbia Express, printed company frank with Victoria and Yale directives above, on unused cover franked with Canada 1872, 3¢ orange red, Very Fine.

Gerow & Johnson's British Columbia Express, printed company frank with Victoria and New Westminster directives above, on fresh unused cover, 1869, 25¢ on 3d orange hinged on cover (may not belong), small "G&J, E" express initial handstamp on backflap, Very Fine.
Estimate    $200 - 300.

Gerow & Johnson underbid Barnard's Express for the mail contract in 1871 and also started an express. They lasted only two months before selling out to Barnard.

Northern Pacific Express Co., light blue frank (NOR-011b) on Canada 1877, 3¢ red entire to San Francisco, manuscript "per Steamer Elder ship" endorsement, canceled by "Victoria, Canada, Ap 25, 87" cds and grid duplex, red entry postmark, Extremely Fine, a very rare usage of this frank.
Estimate    $1,000 - 1,500.

Northern Pacific Express cover the Pacific Northwest from British Columbia to San Francisco connecting with Wells, Fargo & Co.
