Wells, Fargo & Co., Paid., red company frank on U.S. 1861, 10¢ green unaddressed part paste-up entire to London, England, canceled by grid handstamps with bold blue "Paid" in oval express handstamp, blue "Post Office, Victoria "oval coat of arms frank and red "London, Jy, 30, 63" entry postmark; central tear at top into frank, otherwise Very Fine, a very scarce red frank usage.

Wells, Fargo & Co., Paid., black company frank on incoming U.S. 1863, 3¢ pink entire to Victoria, V.I., additionally franked with 1869, 5¢ on 3¢ bright red tied by blue "Wells, Fargo & Co., San Francisco, Oct 1" oval date stamps, matching "Paid" in oval handstamp; nick and opening tears at top affecting frank, F.-V.F., After running out of Vancouver Island stamps, Wells Fargo bought a supply of 5¢ surcharge stamps to pay arrival charges, uses on cover are unusual.

Wells, Fargo & Co., Printed Frank Covers, group of seven franked entires; including san-serif "Victoria, Vancouver Island." frank (WFE-220) in black and two in blue (shades), two serif italic "Victoria, Vancouver Island." franks (WFE-220a), one with 1865 3d franking, and two "Victoria and British Columbia" franks (WFE-221) on white and orange yellow envelopes, Very Fine, a lovely collection of entires.

Wells, Fargo & Co., Victoria V.I., Express, blue oval handstamp canceling on U.S. 1853, 3¢ Nesbitt entire to Sacramento, black company frank and oval "Victoria, Post Office" frank handstamp at upper left; upper right corner restored including large portion of indicia, F.-V.F. appearance, an extremely rare usage of the "Victoria, Post Office" frank handstamp prepaying on a Wells Fargo entire, with only three or four examples known, ex-Jessup.
