Freeman & Co.'s California, Atlantic States and European Express, printed paid frank on 3¢ red (U10) buff Nesbitt entire cancelled by "Freeman & Co's Express, Victoria" oval handstamp (FRM-105) to San Francisco Cal., clear strike of negative "Customs, Vancouver Island" crown seal handstamp; small top edge mend slightly affecting handstamp, no back flap, otherwise Very Fine, ex-Wilkinson, Walske. Thomas No. FRM-006.

The "Customs, Vancouver Island" crown seal handstamp indicated payment of the 5¢ Colonial postage (used July 1858 to June 1859). Freeman & Co. was active in British Columbia from April to November 1859.
