1891, 1¢ Blue on Grayish White, Printer's Waste, Double Impression in Blue and Black, One Inverted, vertical unsevered pair of cards, each with normal impression in blue and a second impression inverted at the bottom of the card in black; some wrinkles and a small tear, cut a bit irregularly at left, Fine and scarce printer's waste. USPCC No. S12P var.

1891, 1¢ Blue on Grayish White, Printer's Waste, Double Impression in Blue and Black, One Inverted, vertical unsevered pair of cards, each with poor impression in blue and a second impression inverted at the bottom of the card in black; some wrinkling, Fine and scarce printer's waste. 1891, 1¢ Black on Grayish White, Trial Color Proof, block of four with printer's pencil highlighting poor stamp impression, Very Fine. Scott No. UX11TC.

Parts of sheets reached collectors that had been used by the contractor in first setting the plates in the press and adjusting the makeready. Some of the impressions were in black and some in blue. Many were poor impressions.

1891, 1¢ Black on Grayish White, Trial Color Proofs, group including black printed on one side, black on one side and grayish black on reverse, black on thin wove paper (faulty), F.-V.F. Scott No. UX11TC.

This was the finished card submitted to the Post Office Department about six-months before the cards were finally issued.
