1869, 2¢ brown, block of three, pair and single, rich deep color, tied by foreign mail segmented grid cancels on cover to London, England, light purple "Philada., Paid All" cds and red "London, 27 Au, 69" entry cds additionally tying pair, reverse with Phila. Sta. G., Aug 15 cds and London receiver; stamps and cover repaired, Very Fine appearance, a rare multiple usage of the 2¢ Pictorial issue prepaying the 12¢ rate, ex-Kuphal.

Philadelphia was the only exchange office to use this distinctive purple cds ink on foreign mail.
