They know not what they do" at bottom, reverse with pencil "Recv'd at Sidon, July 18, 1861, dated Jun 3" receipt docketing; some edge wear and lightly toned, Very Fine and rare Civil War patriotic to Syria; with 1998 P.F. certificate.

Of the various Civil War patriotic stationery publishers, the New York firm of Berlin & Jones produced the most elaborate cartoon designs.
