Va. 16 Mar" cds ties 3¢ ultramarine (114), three large margins, s.e. at left and clipped top left corner, on piece; small stain above head of skull, Extremely Fine and remarkable strike of this desirable fancy cancel; with 2005 P.F. certificate.

York Steamship" circular handstamp, two-line Steam Ship handstamps, "Steamboat", "Steam" including on on "Steamer Natchez No. 2" front, N.Y. ocean mail cds's, unusual townmarks including straight lines, ovals, green "Newport Mich." cds, "Tucson N.M." territorial cds, Wells Fargo Express, Chicago Supplementary, "Jenny Lind Cal Feb 25" manuscript postmark on #26 vertical strip of five, auxiliary markings, etc.; some duplication, condition varies, F.-V.F., a wonderful collection with many better strikes.
