Mexico, (Chiapas) Tapachula "No Hay Estampillas", oval handstamp (Schimmer 32/1) with manuscript endorsement on cover to Hamburg, Germany, "Panama, 16 Ago, 1887" transit cds alongside and blue crayon "40" kr due rating, N.Y. transit and receiving backstamps; small opening tears at top, Very Fine; with 1979 M.E.P.S.I. certificate.

Mexico, Imperial Mexico Coat of Arms, magnificent color image printed in the 1860's, also 2 smaller images hand colored illustrating the coat of arms and a diligencias coach, perfect size for a personalized album of the period or to illustrate an exhibit, Very Fine.

Mexico, (Jalapa) Jalapa, red box datestamp (YB JA7 - 4 points) on 1837 folded letter addressed to M. Burrough at the U.S. Consul in Vera Cruz who played an important diplomatic role in US-Mexico relations, fresh and Very Fine, the usage of this Jalapa date stamp is two years earlier than recorded in Yag & Bash.
Estimate    $300 - 400.

Mexico, (Mazatlan) Cosala, sello negro wreathed cancel (Schatzkes 756) on 1864 folded letter sheet to Mazatlan, F.-V.F., this is my only known Sello Negro from Cosala.
