Chiapas, 1866, Chiapas Provisional, 2r black on rose, full margins, affixed on reverse of folded letter sheet sealing cover as usual, to Tehuantepec with Tuxtla script handstamp (Schatzkes 132) tying, front with additional strike and matching "Franco" handstamp (Schatzkes 132A); stamp torn upon opening as usual and has been expertly repaired, Very Fine appearance, almost all covers of this issue show tears given the custom in Chiapas of sealing the covers with the stamps; with 2010 M.E.P.S.I. & 1959 Peritajes certificates.

Guadalajara, 1867, 2r black on green, tied by neat exceptionally clear wreath cancel (Schatzkes 298) on folded letter sheet to Lagos, matching oval date stamp (Schatzkes 295) dated on the first month of the issue January 31, 1867, Very Fine; with 2002 M.E.P.S.I. certificate. Follansbee No. GDA6.

Guadalajara, Provisional Collection, well over 150 stamps mostly off cover displayed on pages in binder; some dubious items but many items accompanied by MEPSI certificates including Scott #6 used, 9 unused, various #13 usages on cover, #35 used, 20 used, 23 used, 38 used on piece, mint 47 pair, 48 double and partial double impressions, etc.; a nice selection for the specialist, inspection highly recommended (no photo).

Guadalajara, Provisionals Balance, 1867-68, of 66 stamps all identified, if all genuine and correctly identified (seems to be the case) there are 31 different having a Follansbee catalog value of $3,280, includes three serrates (one with cert.), duplication often bears different cancels, some from sub-offices, few tied to pieces including one piece bearing three stamps representing both 2nd & 3rd printings, #2 attractively tied to piece by wreath cancel (Schatzkes 298) and two #14y cut round are tied on piece by Talpa (Schatzkes 461) - a nice item, several are present both mint and used; condition varies, interesting group which merits inspection, generally F.-V.F. or better. Follansbee No. GDA 2//25zDC.

Guadalajara, Provisional Covers, 1867-68, 14 co vers of which nine have MEPSI certs., includes a 1r (24y) tied to cover to Colima by Tonyla (Schatzkes 461), others are all 2r single frankings representing all four printings (the 3 1st printings are two GDA 5 and a GDA 6), generally F.-V.F.
