Scandinavia, Collection, useful collection in 2 Ka-Be albums; includes Denmark mostly used from sparse to some later completion, Finland with some good early issues and later mint sets from the 1940’s on, Iceland with later issues, similar Norway and Sweden. Separately from albums Denmark used 2, 3, 5, 6, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 19, 20, 27, 35; Finland used 5, 6, 7, 8a, 9, 10, 13, 17, 19 (unused) 19, 20; Norway used 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 9, 11, 12, 16, 18, 20, 21, 23, 39 (unused); some with faults.

Lot 2853 /o   

Scandinavia, Collection, 1900, Scott specialized volumes, with pages generally running from the beginning through 1997, stamps fresh and generally exceptional condition; all stamps neatly hinged, Denmark and Greenland mint with several good sets, about $2,500 cat, Denmark and Danish West Indies used, values each to about $300 cat, with total cat of about $5,000, Finland mint hinged about $700 cat, most in semi-postals, Finland used kind of sparse but several hundred cat on the early pages, Iceland and Norway mint in one volume with a total cat of about $1,500, Iceland and Norway used in one volume, Iceland sparse but we saw a nice #13 $300 cat, Norway also sparse but first page cats about $900; Sweden mint, very few stamps and a couple hundred cat; Sweden used, couple hundred dollars cat in early values; most items clean, attractive, estimated total owner's catalog value of $12,000.

Scandinavia, Collection, housed in four Scott albums; includes Greenland with the 1945 overprint set mint n.h., */o D.W.I. with good to useful issues, Denmark with good completion in used early issues with some duplication, mostly used definitives to 1930's and mint thereafter, mostly mint Iceland somewhat sparse in early issues and some later completion including 1930 Millienary set, etc., Sweden with mix condition first issues on, 1924 UPU sets complete (first mint and second set used), useful back-of-the-book, etc.

Slovenia, WWII Occupation Collection, eclectic collection in a binder with mostly mint issues, featured items including unissued 1945 Ljubliana "Great Slovenians" Michel 1A-6A and 1B-6B perf and imperf mint, plus two imperf strips of six (four different. colors), also Michel 1-16 1945 Slovenia overprints on Ljubliana views mint n.h. blocks of four, highlights alone cat. €1200, much more to be found in this interesting group including covers, blocks, and collateral material, inspection required, generally fine to very fine.
