Wells, Fargo & Co's Express, From Cherry Creek, Nev., black on red printed label with town designation applied as blue part-oval Wells Fargo town handstamp, used with additional Wells Fargo "C.O.D." black on yellow label on 1874 legal-size cover to San Francisco Cal., manuscript "COD $10" indicating charges to be collected by Wells, Fargo & Co. upon delivery, additional docketing indicates 1874 usage, reduced at right from opening, red label nicked at left, some minor soiling, F.-V.F., F.-V.F., a great rarity and a most unusual Wells, Fargo & Co. printed label with the town designation applied with Wells, Fargo & Co. handstamp.

Wells, Fargo & Co. Columbus, Nev., Feb. 7, blue oval company handstamp cancels 3¢ green entire with Wells Fargo company printed frank to San Francisco, docketed on reverse "1873", trivial reduction at right, Very Fine.
Estimate    $150 - 200.

The Columbus Nevada Wells Fargo office was active from 1874 until 1895, when mail was no longer handled at any of its offices after 1895.

Wells, Fargo & Co., Dun Glen., blue oval handstamp (Leutzinger type 11-9) on 1864 3¢ pink entire to Syracuse, NY, black Haller type E printed frank, right side restored with part of black cancel drawn in, Fine.

Dun Glen was a Wells Fargo office for less that 2 years as it was never on any of there lists of offices which appeared every two years. This is the discovery copy of this office and is consequently unique.

Columbian Pictorial Domestic Frank to San Francisco, magenta Wells Fargo San Francisco receiving handstamp dated "Oct 17 2(P)M", minor opening tear at top, Very Fine, a very rare Wells, Fargo & Co. marking.
