Ecuador, 1865, 1r Green, Block of Four, margins full to just shaving frameline at upper and bottom left, canceled by central strike of "Pelileo, M.C." circular handstamp (first "L" inverted) on Judicial wrapper to Ambato, red "Pelileo, 12 Oct, 71" cds and manuscript "7½" weight endorsement; wrapper reduced in to address at right, F.-V.F., the finest of only three covers recorded with the "Pelileo M.C." cancellation, ex-Goeggel; with 2013 Moorhouse certificate.

Ecuador, 1865, 1r Yellowish Green, Horizontal Strip of Nine, 1st printing, positions 73//81, ample to large margins, in combination with 1865, ½r blue on Judicial wrapper front and part backflap to Latacunga, all tied by "Riobamba, 18 Nov, 65" cds's (month inverted), manuscript "19oz" weight endorsement at upper right; file fold affecting one stamp in strip, still Very Fine, the largest on cover multiple of the 1r green, of which there are seven such usages recorded.

Ecuador, 1865, 1r Green, Vertical Strip of Eight, positions 33//66, mostly large margins to just touching, bright vibrant color, in combination with 1865, ½r blue on Judicial front to Riobamba, all tied by manuscript "Alausi" and dotted lozenge cancels, with clear matching "Alausi, 20 Oct, 65" cds and "16½oz" weight endorsement, Very Fine, with fewer than five usages known bearing the manuscript Alausi cancel, this likely unique in combination with the handstamp postmarks, ex-Bustamante; with 2011 Moorhouse certificate.

It is believed that in late summer official 1865, new handstamps including the circle date stamp and dotted lozenge arrived at Alausi of Chimborazo Province. In spite of this fact, manuscript cancellations during a short period were used in combination with the recently introduced postmarks.

Ecuador, 1865, 1r Green, Ten Singles, left stamp position 4 showing double frameline at bottom plate flaw, all neatly tied by "Riobamba, 7 Avril, 66" cds's on Judicial wrapper to Guaranda, with "20oz" weight endorsement at right and reverse with "7 de Abril de 1866" docketing, Very Fine, an unusual high franking usage bearing only the 1r green issue.
