Postal Card, 1886, 1¢ black on salmon pink, mint card; couple stain spots on back, F.-V.F., rare and attractive variety, ex-Mitchell, Slawson.
Scott No. UX9d    $1,500.

The USPCC does not recognize these as error cards even though the printing of the design is genuine. It seems the salmon pink stock was used as a counting marker for counting finished piles of 500 printed sheets. Footnoted in 2010 USPCC on page 9.
