Jul. 1861 part printed drop use with ms. "2" rating, soldiers's letters with ms. "10" due (two), one with partial blue oval "10" (unlisted), two usages with blue framed "Paid" and "5" rating handstamp (CSA B $300 each), used to soldier with framed "Paid" and ms. "10" rating; Independent state use with U.S. #26 pencil tied and with "University of Virginia, Va, May 17th 1861" blue cds with framed "Forwarded" and "3" due handstamp to Talladega Ala., extends thru early 20th Century with No. C3 tied by duplex, few faults, overall a F.-V.F. and fascinating group covering a wide time frame.
