Ship Mail, 1800-1850s, group of over 70 covers, noted includes two 1829 New Orleans to New York "Mail Route" arc handstamp uses, 1800 red "Phi" cds and matching small "SHIP" straightline with "52" rating to Charleston, New Bedford Mass. "Ship" straightline and blue crayon "6" rating, 1832 ms. "Vienna Md" postmark and "Ship" rating (cover stain); blue Baltimore cds with red "SHIP" handstamp and "22" cent rating to Salem, 1845 Smyrna Turkey missionary letter via New York Ship 12 cts. cds, 1826 Providence red cds and "Ship" handstamp, 1837 Athens Greece disinfection slits and staining via New York Ship, 1828 Boston "Ship 6" in scroll use, 1801 Boston cds and "Ship" straightline use, etc; some faults, F.-V.F.

Sierra Nevada, Via Nicaragua, Advance of the Mails." oval and framed "Via Nicaragua, Ahead of the Mails" handstamp; couple New Orleans "Way" uses with #11's, 1858 Georgetown S.C. "STEAMBOAT" straightline cover front; red "Steamer Emperor" in circle packet handstamp on #11A cover to New Orleans; Detroit Mich. cds ties #11A and matching "Steam Boat" scroll handstamp; 1854 New York to New Orleans with #11 (2) and forwarded with #11 (2) and New Orleans red "Too Late" framed handstamp; several stampless uses, etc.; mixed condition, F.-V.F.
