Aerospace Collection Balance, mostly housed in 9 binders; with hundreds of covers commemorating various aerospace flights mostly from the 1960-70's; including 1960's space glider flights including the Asset flights, M-2 flights, HL-10 last flight, X-24A rocket flight signed by pilot, X-15 flights including signed, also includes balloon flight related, space shuttle, and much interesting ephemera items including press releases and photos, also includes some foreign cover items.

Airmail Postal History Balance, of approximately 180 sleeved covers; includes a nice range first and second issue usages including a few early first issues flights, Zeppelin flights with #C15 use and seven C18 usages including multiple frankings, better, round-the world flights and an array of later flights to the 1940's, etc.; condition mixed, worth review.

Lot 1972    

Balance of an Old-Time U.S. Cover Collection, couple hundred covers from stampless to 1950s, 1891 inbound cover from Turkey with U.S. Postage Due, about half is 20th century with WWII A.P.O., some Prexie and Liberty Series, unusual destinations such as Burma, Andorra, Ethiopia, etc., also with some odd material like Thomas Edison signed stamp, some Great Britain free frank fronts; some mixed condition but much is Fine or better.

Bank Note Cover Group, 1873-80, of 26 covers including a few stationery entires; includes a selection of Chicago, Ill. blue fancy duplexes, 3¢ grill x5 on registered cover from Hyrum, Utah, usage to Italy forwarded with Italian dues, 1879 usage to Brazil, 2¢ vermilion on priced current to Amsterdam, many fancy cancels including Northampton, Mass. crescent moon and star, etc.

Banknote Covers, 1870-1888, group of 68 covers; includes single 1¢ #134 and 3¢ #136 grills on separate covers; nine covers with 1¢ stamps of various, Scott numbers including 156 single tied by numeral "79" fancy cancel of Mattapoisett MA; 4 covers franked with 2¢ red brown; 2 covers with 2¢ vermilion; five with 2¢ red brown; eight covers with 3¢ green including 1872 cover with two singles from NJ to London; 5¢ Taylor to Switzerland; defective 5¢ brown Garfield cover addressed to France; two covers with 6¢ singles including one to Mexico via Laredo; finally 1885 cover franked with 2¢ red brown and 10¢ yellow brown on registered cover with cogged "Silver … R.R.S" postmark; mixed condition with some faults.

Bank Note Issue Cover Balance, 1870-88, of several hundred sleeved covers, mostly 3¢ usages from an array of towns, including many corner card covers, western towns, fancy cancels, etc.; better includes various 6¢ usages to Canada (including P.E.I.) and England and other placed in Europe, 10¢ #150 pair to Italy, 15¢ #189 to South Africa, 5¢ solo and double usages to Europe, 4¢ #215 block on uprated 1924 cover to Germany, 15¢ + 3¢ domestic registered, etc.; condition mixed, well worth full evaluation.

Bank Note Issue Covers - Foreign Mail, 1870-79, group of 6 comprising #148 on 1871 Puerto Rico via Boston to Nova Scotia; #158, 159 (2) and 160 on 1874 cover to France; #158, 159 on 1875 New Orleans La. cover to France with red New York "Too Late"; #146, 150 pair to Peru (PSE cert); #158 strip of three on 1875 New Orleans La. to France; #146 (2), 151 Lynn Mass. to St. Helena (missing 12¢ for 28¢ rate); and #163 pair & 162 Jersey City NJ to Chili with #153 added to cover (PFC no longer accompanies).

Bank Note Issue Covers, 1870s-80s, group of 24 covers including #213 on Fort Edward Collegiate Inst. illustrated school building corner card, #1880 La Salle N.Y. fancy rectangular postmark cover; #182 Washington D.C. circular rate with wholesale grocers ad showing horse drawn wagon; #213 cancelled by Fullerton M.O.B. fancy postmark; #213 on Baltimore "Steamboat" cover; and a #O116 use on St. Louis U.S. Engineers Office use; etc.; some mixed condition, F.-V.F.

Lot 1978    

Bank of California Correspondence, well over 100 covers circa 1883, all addressed to Bank of California in San Francisco, including 2¢ and 3¢ banknotes, various postal stationery issues and postal cards featuring some nice cancels, postmarks, some advertising corners etc., also a 20th Century correspondence of hundreds to a San Francisco family with a wealth of 1¢ Franklin greens and 2¢ Washington reds from the 1920-30's, great for the rarity hunter.
