Lot 2015    

Railway Post Office (RPO) Cancels, cancels on card or covers, several thousand, running from the late 1870's up until the general end of the RPO system in the 1960's, don't know if there are any great rarities here, but a quick glance reveals quite a few small town to small town usages, some emphasis on the southeast, but generally a good cross-section of the nation's railroad routes. Some mixed condition, but mostly fine to very fine.
Estimate    $250 - 350.

Registered Mail, 1870s-1900s, group of 20 registered covers including 5¢ and 8¢ Columbian #234, 236 to Belgium with NY exchange label; 8¢, 10¢ Trans-Miss. #289, 290 to Germany with NY exchange label; 1928 New Haven Ct. bulldog fancy cancel; 1915 and 1918 uses to Russia returned due to enemy occupation, one with label; etc, some mixed condition, F.-V.F.
