"Live Oak" Coleman's California Line Clipper Card, multicolored ad and design on glazed enamel stock (165x113mm), with illustration of Full Rigged Sailing Ship and Indian Hunting Bear Under Oak Tree, with card promoting the "All Live Oak !" ship, fresh and crisp with a hint of enamel oxidation along edges, accompanied by mailing envelope contemporarily addressed to a New York commission agent, Very Fine and choice, a stunning and rare sailing card.

"Lookout" Sutton & Co.'s Dispatch Line Clipper Card, multicolored ad and design on glazed enamel stock (167x115mm) printed by Nesbitt & Co., with illustration of Soldiers in Wooden Lookout with Cannon, Camp Tents and Troop Allegories at Sides, with card promoting the "108, 112 & 109 Days Passage, Popular & Reliable" ship, fresh vibrant colors with only very minor corner wear, Very Fine and choice, a spectacular and rare sailing card.

The 1,068 ton "Lookout" was built in Warren, R.I. in 1853. She made some fast passages and was reputed to have been a great favorite on the San Francisco - New York run. Sherwood, named on this card, was her captain between 1857 and 1863.

ONE OF THE FINEST EXAMPLES OF THE "MIDNIGHT" CLIPPER SAILING CARD.

The little "Midnight" was launched at Portsmouth, N.H. in 1854. George H. Brock commanded the ship from 1858 to 1872. She was eventually condemned in Japan in 1878.

"Neptune's Favorite" Coleman's California Line Clipper Card, multicolored ad and design on glazed enamel stock (174x98mm) printed by Nesbitt & Co., with illustration of King Neptune and Queen in Six Dolphin Scallop Chariot with Coleman Flag on Trident, card promoting "The Clipper of Nov. 13th, The Extreme A1 Clipper Ship", rich deep colors; some wear, couple corner pinholes and some enamel erosion at left with small portion of gold bordering painted in, F.-V.F.
