(New Hampshire) Walpole, N.H., two folded letters from same correspondence to Brookline Mass., 1852 with black "Oct 18" cds and matching "3" with negative "Paid" rating handstamp, 1853 with blue "Apr 6" cds and matching "3" with negative "Paid" rating handstamp; some extra ms. on latter, Very Fine pair in black and blue.

P.O. Instructions" straightline; 1845 with Boyd's Express oval; 1851 with New York cds and "Philada Railroad" straightline; few "f" and "Free" uses including "Post Office Business, Free", couple "10" cents uses to California; 1879 New York "Ship Letter, Due 6 Cents" incoming use; 1¢ and 2¢ circular rates, some drop rates, etc. plus a few Harlem covers, F.-V.F.

(Ohio) (Northwest Territory) "Cincinnati June 18th 1799", dateline on 3pp folded letter from Jacob Burnet, Ohio Supreme Court judge and senator who nominated his friend William Henry Harrison for the presidency in 1839, to Elias Boudinot, Director of the Mint at Philadelphia, regarding real estate matters, address leaf with manuscript "12½" rate deleted and updated to "25" cent, endorsed per "Major Kingsbury" at lower left, presumably Jacob Kingsbury, prominent Revolutionary War soldier who served in Wayne's Indian campaign; light toning and small tears, Fine and rare early Northwest Territory cover.

(Ohio) Cincinnati, O. to Fayal, Azores, folded letter datelined "Cincinnati, May 19, 1840" initially addressed to New Orleans, La. carried out of mails via riverboat, cover forwarded to Boston and entered the mails with blue "New Orleans, La., Jun 9" cds and manuscript "25" rate, cover again readdressed and forwarded to Fayal, Very Fine, a very unusual usage.
