(Washington) Utsalady (W.T.), Oct. 12, /69, manuscript postmark on envelope to Hanover N.H. franked with manuscript cancelled 1861 3¢ rose, Very Fine, the office had opened in Island County in 1865 and closed in 1910, probably sent by steamship to San Francisco, then on the recently completed transcontinental railroad.

Town Postmark Group, 1795-1850's, of five covers; includes 1795 Salem straight line, 1841 Saxonville, Mass. double oval postmark with manuscript date to Lexington, Ky. missent to Lexington, Mass. with forwarding cds and then forwarded to Georgetown, 1850' stampless with Colia, N.Y., Cambridge, Ms. and Litchfield Con. color cds and rate markings, Very Fine.
