Frey's Valentine Express, printed corner card cover, "With Compliments of St. Valentine" pre-address and "New England Valentine Company of Mass., Wm. A. Frey, Gen'l Agent, 404 Kearny St., S.F." circular corner card, locally addressed with blue "Paid" handstamp, mounting residue on reverse indicating a possible paste-up usage of cover to an oversized Valentine, Extremely Fine, only four examples of the Frey's Valentine Express imprint cover are recorded, with this design being unique; with 2004 P.F. certificate.
Estimate    $4,000 - 6,000.

Hunter & Co.'s Express, blue oval handstamp (HUN-100) on small incoming cover addressed to Sacramento City, Cal., blue "Troy, N.Y., Jun 24" origin cds and manuscript "40" rate, red "Adv'd" handstamp applied in Sacramento before handing over to Hunter & Co. for delivery, cover missing most of backflap, Extremely Fine and rare, with only six known usages of this early oval type handstamp.

"Meteor" Coleman's California Line Clipper Card, black and blue ad design on enamel card stock (164x112mm) with illustration of Full Rigged Sailing Ship under Nighttime Starry Sky showing Meteor, promoting the A 1 Extreme "Meteor" clipper ship is now rapidly loading at Pier 15 in New York, excellent condition with a few mount marks on reverse as usual, Very Fine and choice.

San Francisco, Cal, Mar 11, 1863 postmark with "Steam Panama", 1863 (Feb. 2) Concepcion, Chile to San Francisco, Cal., blue 1863 folded letter with partial British Valparaiso (2.2) backstamp and red manuscript "1/-" rating, Panama (2.23) transit datestamp and red "Paid-To / Panama" two-line handstamp, entered U.S. mails with "Steam Panama" type 1 oval handstamp, matching "San Francisco, Cal, Mar 11, 1863" cds (Williams SAF-600) and bold "10" rating, fresh and Extremely Fine, ex-Patrick Campbell.
