1912, 1¢ green, horizontal coil, guide line pair, o.g., never hinged, perfect centering within large and remarkably balanced margins almost unheard of on a coil issue, rich deep color and pristine, a Superb gem, this is the only line pair that has received this grade with none higher (the next higher being a 98); with 2009 P.S.E. certificate Graded (Gem 100, SMQ $3,500).

ONE OF THE FINEST USED GUIDE LINE PAIRS OF THE 1912 2¢ WASHINGTON PERF 8½ HORIZONTAL COIL.

Very few used line pair examples of the 1912 2¢ Washington perf 8½ horizontal coil exist with centering grading over very fine. In the P.S.E. Population Report, only three examples are reported over a grade of 80 with the highest being a XF 90.
