Hawaii, Dead Letter Office, Honolulu, H.I. Nov 14 1899 (MH unrecorded, 1RR), clear strike of red oval on reverse of 1¢ red (UX8) postal card cancelled by bold "Honolulu. H.I., May 3, 1899" duplex to local address, matching red handstamp strikes of "Pas reclame, Unclaimed" (MH 767), "Return to Writer" hand and "Honolulu, Advertised, Jul 31, 1899" cds (MH 751), reverse with part-printed W.R. Castle notice in Hawaiian, Very Fine.

He Dead Letter Office oval is known used only from May 18, 1899 to May 31, 1900.

Hall but in my hurry I forgot to put my name on the tag as I bought a new pail and the steamer was out from the wharf and I had to throw the pail on board.", Very Fine and rare Napoopoo postmark, Only 14 Strikes Recorded by Gregory.
