Ecuador, 1865, ½r ultramarine blue on surface blued paper, six mint multiples showing water-soluble ink impressions; includes four horizontal pairs with corner margin position 1-2, position 11-12, 25-26 and 61-62, strip of three position 3-5 and strip of four position 56-60; all with ample to large margins, full o.g., strip of five with a few flaws, otherwise Very Fine.

Ecuador, 1865, ½r blue on surface blued paper, third period printing, complete sheet of 84, full o.g., showing complete marginal rules on all sides, strong bold color and some mottling which is indicative of this later printing, central vertical fold between stamps and tear at lower left affecting two stamps, otherwise Very Fine, one of less than ten sheets recorded, ex-Dujmovic and Longhi; with 2011 Moorhouse certificate.

Ecuador, 1865, ½r ultramarine, lightly surfaced blued paper, reconstructed complete sheet of 84 from two overlapping part sheets from the same setting, marginal rules all round showing small corner breaks with rule missing under fourth stamp on the lower row, strong colors with some mottling which is indicative of the intermediate printings, positions 83-84 showing embossed medallion variety; right pane (irregular block of 55) with facial scuff at upper right side and odd small flaw, left pane (irregular block of 60) with several flaws at lower right side, one pane o.g., other without gum, F.-V.F. appearance, a very rare intermediate printing sheet from this setting; with 2015 Moorhouse certificate.
