Ecuador, 1865, ½r blue, clear to large margins, canceled by the Naranjal manuscript double cross cancel on folded letter to Guayaquil, with original enclosure datelined "Naranjal 30 Mayo, 1866", Very Fine, it is believed that this tiny locality did not possess postal handstamps at this time, ex-Dujmovic and Longhi; with 2011 Moorhouse certificate.

Ecuador, 1865, ½r blue, bottom margin single, clear to large margins with full margin rule, tied by "Tulcan, Franca" two-line pre-adhesive cancel on folded letter sheet to Babahoyo; cover slightly reduced at top and file fold affecting stamp, F.-V.F., an extremely rare usage of the Tulcan pre-adhesive handstamp used as a cancelling device.

Ecuador, 1865, ½r blue, showing breaks in frameline at left and right, ample to large margins, canceled by manuscript Chimbo cancel on Judicial wrapper to Riobamba, manuscript "¾ oz" weight notation and reverse with 1865 docketing, Very Fine, this being one of three known covers bearing the Chimbo manuscript cancellation, ex-Saá and Longhi; with 2011 Moorhouse certificate.

Ecuador, 1865, ½r blue, vertical strip of three, ample to huge margins, canceled by manuscript "Cariamanga" cancel on 1870 Judicial wrapper to Loja, manuscript "2¼ oz." weight and interesting endorsement denoting that 1½r in stamps were contained in this wrapper which were to be used for its return journey to the place of dispatch, Very Fine, a very rare usage from the tiny town of Cariamanga, ex-Olgieser.

Ecuador, 1865, ½r blue, two horizontal strips of four, pair and single, tied by "Riobamba, 13 Mars" cds's on Judicial wrapper front with top flap to Quito, manuscript "10½ oz" weight notation at top, Very Fine, a rare high franking paid only with the ½r denomination, ex-Funkhouser, Longhi and Olgieser.

Ecuador, 1865, ½r blue, horizontal strip of four, positions 9-12, margins large to just in, showing portions of margin line at top, tied by two strikes of the Guayaquil "Franca" in dotted diamond lozenge on January 1, 1871 datelined folded letter to Lima, Peru, letter carried by PSNC steamer and entered Peru at Callao, receiving backstamp, Very Fine, with strip paying the 2r single external rate for an American destination not exceeding ¼ ounce.
