1855, 10¢ green, type I, horizontal strip of three, position 95-97R1, large margins to close at top left, tied by two strikes of indistinct Iowa postmark with matching "Paid" straight line alongside, on Prussian closed mail cover to Grosherzogtum, Germany, red New York and Aachen transit date stamps; light cover soiling, otherwise Very Fine, an very rare usage of a 10¢ type I strip on cover, Scott catalog value for off cover strip $2,900.
