1869, 1¢ buff, tied by target cancel with "Schenectady N.Y. Feb. 7" double-circle datestamp on 1870 locally addressed printed Internal Revenue tax notice, fresh and Very Fine, an attractive use in beautiful condition.

1869, 2¢ brown, two singles, dark shade, used with three 3¢ red, F grill (94) singles, tied by quartered cork cancels and "Dubuque Ioa. Sep 13" cds on 1869 yellow cover to Oldenburg, Germany, red "New York, Paid All, Br. Transit" exchange cds and Verviers-Cologne (9.30) transits, Oct. 1st receiving backstamp; couple 3c stamps have a few negligible short perfs, prepaid 13¢ for obsolete NGU rate (reduced to 10¢ in 1868), Very Fine and color mixed-issue franking, ex-Kuphal.

1869, 2¢ brown, 10¢ yellow, two New York covers, 2¢ pair tied by grid cancels on Apr. 19, 1870 cover by 4¢ British Open mail rate to France, "GB/40c" oval accountancy handstamp and "5" décimes due handstamp; 10¢ tied by rare thin-bar oval grid on Apr. 2, 1870 cover by double the 4¢ British Open mail rate, "GB/40c" oval accountancy handstamp and double-weight "10" décimes due handstamp; each reduced slightly from opening, F.-V.F. and scarce pair of NYFM covers at single and double 4¢ British Open Mail rates.

This "Rail Road Way" oval handstamp of Detroit was applied on mail handled by the Grand Trunk Rail Road.

Apr. 22" cds on blue Kline's Emporium for Indian Curiosities and Postage Stamps illustrated cover to Belfast Me., reverse with pencil notation "Enclosure dated 1869" but no longer accompanies; reduced slightly at right, Very Fine, early use of the 3c 1869 Pictorial which was issued less than a month prior to this sending, ex-Hulme, Belasco.

Sep 6" cds at lower left of circa 1870 tissue paper cover to Paris, France, red "New York '6' Sep 8" credit exchange cds, carried by Cunard Line Calabria from New York Sep. 8th to Queenstown arriving Sep. 18th, indistinct French arrival cds and red "PD" framed handstamp; reduced at left with some paper loss and open at bottom, Very Fine and desirable 3¢ strip use for the 15¢ treaty rate.
