Denver in Lecompton, Kansas Territory, franked with manuscript canceled 1857, 3¢ dull red, with original 6-page enclosure regarding marriage to the daughter of Col. Saml. M. Rutherford (Seminole Agent), Comanche troubles including cavalry engagement with the loss of 50-60 men, mentions Comanche War Captain "Buffalo Hump", etc., Very Fine, postmark unlisted in ASCC.
