Lot 2751 /o

United States Collection, 1845-1930. Valuable assemblage neatly mounted on quadrille pages, with wide range of material from all periods to Washington Franklins; far too many highlights to enumerate, but note a few carriers & locals, 1847's 5¢ & 10¢ plus pair of #1, 1851 & 1857's (indeed for most 19th Century items) including extensive studies of cancels, varieties, shades, types, etc., with some duplication; values to 90¢ in most cases; 1869's complete used to 30¢, Bank Notes well represented (sparse in grills); small Bank Notes to $5, same for Bureau's; Trans-Miss complete fresh mint; Columbians used to 50¢; Washington-Franklin's to $2 & $5; mint E1-E4, etc; also note decent 3¢ Ayers Encased Postage example, group of proofs; needs much closer evaluation for all the cancels & varieties, generally F-VF or better, many nicely centered, please inspect.
