Express, Hawthorne, Nev., black on orange label affixed on 3¢ green entire with Well's Fargo & Co. frank to San Francisco, label applied over illegible Wells, Fargo & Co. magenta handstamp, most probably that of Hawthorne, with manuscript "Val $10/Pd"; slightly reduced at right and open on three sides, Very Fine and scarce. Estimate $200 - 300.
