1870, 3¢ green, double impression, blue target cancel, dramatic 5mm shift of design most notably in the "3" at left of bottom center, large well balanced margins, partly broken crease at top center extending just into head, otherwise Extremely Fine; with 2012 P.F. certificate.

Only five examples of the 1870 3¢ Banknote Double Impression variety have been certified by the Philatelic Foundation, each bearing a distinctive doubling. Most have a slight shift between impressions with one other dramatic shift remarkably showing the plate number in the bottom tablet.
