1871, 7¢ vermilion, I. grill, without gum, precision centering with full evenly balanced margins, rich brilliant color and crisp impression on bright paper, mostly complete grill impression, Superb, the P.S.E. Population Report records only five used examples of the 7¢ I. grill and no mint, with the highest graded being a 90.; with 1978 P.F. certificate (as #138) and 2015 P.S.E. Graded certificate (Superb 98). Scott No. 138A $2,400.
