1870, 24¢ Purple, o.g., fairly light hinging, exceptional centering amid large beautifully balanced margins, stunning rich color and crisp detailed impression which is often lacking on this issue, Extremely Fine to Superb, with one of only four examples to obtain this grade with only one higher; with 2004 P.F. and 2005 & 2007 P.S.E. certificates, the later Graded (XF-Sup 95, SMQ $9,250).
