R.P.O." railroad use (the earliest RPO use), fancy cancels including 1885 Sacramento Ca. checkerboard fancy cancel to San Francisco Cal., 1886 used with #E1, 210 from Boston to local address and remailed to Cambridge with additional #E1, 210 franking, 1887 used bearing only #E1 and marked "Due 2 cts," and pen cancelled 1¢ postage due #J15 vertical pair affixed (earliest recorded example of postage due stamps on special delivery letter), service handstamps including 1885 Nov. 18th use of the San Francisco "Special Delivery" Clock marking, 1887 use on U293 Grant lettersheet (faults), 1888 DeKalb Ill. illustrated Rooster on Barbwire fence advertising on 2¢ entire to Markvilles Ills., 1887 Alexandria Bay N.Y. duplex with wheel of fortune fancy cancels on #E1 and #206 pair advertising cover to Corymans Hollow N.Y. (restored), 1889 Rockland Lake N.Y. bearing #E1 and #213 tied by Star of David fancy cancels to Minneapolis Minn., and 1887 Laramie City Wyo. to New York N.Y., etc., F.-V.F., A remarkable group left mostly intact from the exhibit collection.
