1847, 5¢ orange brown, four margins, deep rich color, cancelled by bold strike of blue "Paid" framed handstamp on 1847 folded letter to London, England, matching blue "Philada Pa '5 cts' Dec 30" cds, carried as endorsed by Cunard Line Hibernia departing Boston Jan. 2nd to Liverpool arriving Jan. 16th, red London (1.17) arrival backstamp and manuscript "1/-" shilling due rating; top edge separated, hint of edge toning, F.-V.F., ex-Gibson.
