1855 (May 1) Yass, New South Wales to Brooklyn N.Y., blue folded letter original bearing New South Wales 2d blue (24) and 1s pale red brown (31), each tied by "44" barred oval cancel but the 1s fell off en route, reverse with Yass (5.1) and Sydney (5.4) rimless transits, carried by Clipper Ship Boomerang from Melbourne Jun. 7th to Liverpool arriving Sep. 19th, red "Australian Packet, Paid Liverpool, SP 19 55" transit cds, then by Collins Line Atlantic from Liverpool Sep. 19th to New York arriving Oct. 3rd, sharp "N.York. Am. Pkt. '24' Oct 3" debit exchange cds, Very Fine and unusual use.
