A Fireman Zouave Putting Out Succession, blue caricature on cover to Mendham N.J. with "A Soldiers letter, Co K 7th Regt N.J.V." endorsement at left; accompanied by U.S. Capitol patriotic letterhead datelined "Tuesday Nov 19th /61" Headquarters "N.J. V. 7th" and Camp "on Maridean Hill" to father and sister concerning the weather and comforts, "…We are all a sitting here by our new stove it heats the tent so that we can't give it but half the draft…We haven't had marching Orders yet but we can't tell how soon we will…"; small cover edge faults, F.-V.F. and rare caricature design.
