Sept 4th '82" reading in part: "…Since writing last nothing has occurred. I stay in camp all day… Tomorrow morning 5 of the party stand for the Indian town to stay two month. Judging from the descriptions I hear in camp of the dirt, lice & filth of these towns. I have no desire to spend any length of time in them…Mr. Stevenson who came from Washington on Saturday is going to take a party to the San Juan county (south west of him)…"; reduced slightly at left, otherwise Very Fine and scarce Territorial Fort use.
