California Postal History Balance, large accumulation of cards and covers dating from Gold Rush days into the 1950's with a very few extending beyond, lots of Helbock scarcity ratings of 1, 2, and 3 although we did see a ratty Helbock 6, quite a few items identified by Williams numbers, several flawed Wells Fargo covers, lots of Doanes, 4-bars, and other small town cancels, a few interesting usages and/or ancillary markings, many of the "better items" with faint or partial cancels, retail values to $25, although most are much less, a good value for the club or show dealer and for the beginning collector. Estimate $1,000 - 1,500.
