Molton, Beverly" at bottom left, entered mails with "Beverly May 17" postmark and matching "Sh 10" rating for 8¢ inland postage for under 40 miles plus 2¢ ship fee; some staining and wear, Fine and early ship letter to the United States. Estimate $500 - 750.
This is one of the earliest Beverly Mass. ship letters, the earliest being 1795. This is the only the recorded letter from the Danish West Indies entering the United States at Beverly.
