Cuba, (Ligne B) 1872 (Apr. 19) Paris, France to Mexico City, Mexico, blue folded letter with blue "Rousseau, Olivier & Cie." framed backstamps bearing 1869, Napoleon III Laureate, 5fr gray lilac on lavender (37), corner perf crease, used with 80c rose (36) pair, all tied by "PN" lozenge cancels, "Paris A Nantes, 19 Avril 72" railroad cds, framed "P.P." handstamp, endorsed "Par St. Nazaire" at top left, carried per Cie. Générale Transatlantique Lousiane (Paq. Fr. No. 1) via St. Thomas (5.17) and Havana (5.23) to Vera Cruz arriving May 29th, Mexico "18" reales inland due handstamp (9x 2 reales), reverse with manuscript "Recd. le 29 Mai 72" receipt docketing; missing additional 80c stamp for 9-times the 80c rate, cover tear, Fine and rare use of the Five Franc on non-registered foreign mail., ex-Landau.
