"Alejandro", purple straight line handstamp on U.S. 1884, 2¢ brown entire to Mazatlan, with matching fancy circular "Franco" handstamp, reverse with purple "Thomas Bell & Co., San Francisco, Nov. 21, 1887" handstamp, Very Fine and rare, Thomas Bell was a wealthy investor in the New Almaden mine (a cinnabar - mercury mine). He owned a mansion at Bush & Octavia streets in San Francisco.
